Q: What is „ecoCheck”?
EcoCheck is an app created with Flash to publish it on several platforms. The app is available at Android Market, Apple App Store and Blackberry App World.
The original idea to create that app comes from a lecture I had in 2010, at Ulm University of Applied Sciences. There, our group task was to create an e-learning app for iPad. So we came up with the idea to choose paper and sustainability as the topic.

Q: Isn't that topic boring?
At a first glance, this topic sounds boring and to be honest, it really is, if you look at the way most people handle it. That is the point where we wanted our app to be totally different. We wanted to create an unique experience not only by showing multimedia content like videos and the use of the touch interface which comes with tablet pc's. The user should use his tablet to act with it and to understand the need of sustainable handling of resources. To get a better understanding on how that works, visit the official ↗app page and watch the demonstration video.

Q: Your App won an award?
Yes and I am pretty proud about that. You can find related information about that topic ↗here, ↗here and ↗here.
To sum it up, here is what I think „ecoCheck” is:
„ecoCheck is an app that shows the importance of sustainable handling in an amusing and enjoyable way.”
